DESCRIPTION:Joe Louis Walker\, a Blues Hall of Fame inductee and four-time Blues Music Award winner celebrates a career that exceeds a half a century. His new album Everybody Wants A Piece cements his legacy as a prolific torchbearer for the blues.  Looking back on his rich history\, Walker shares\, “I’d like to be known for the credibility of a lifetime of being true to my music and the blues. Sometimes I feel I’ve learned more from my failures\, than from my success . But that’s made me stronger and more adventurous. And helped me create my own style . I’d like to think that when someone puts on one of my records they would know from the first notes\, ‘That’s Joe Louis Walker.’” \n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlways an artist deeply expressive lyrically\, Walker continues to write and sing about themes that are universal.  On “Black & Blue” he talks about a love affair that’s falling apart\, but there’s an effort to keep it going.  He offers\, “The lyric ‘Let’s find a quiet place\, A place out of town…We Need to talk this thru\, Be honest & True’ says it all in trying to save the relationship.”  He cites the title track as a composition that might not have a deep meaning\, but in presenting the thought\, “Everybody wants a piece of your love\,” offers a double entendre that speaks for itself.  With a deep history and background in gospel\, Walker looks towards Wade in the Water” as an instant all time favorite.  He reveals\, “The inspirational lyric ‘The water is deep\, the water is cold\, it chills my body\, BUT NOT MY SOUL” is expressing my belief that the spiritual will carry you through when the physical can’t.” \nThis time out  Joe has brought on Paul Nelson to produce his album which was recorded at his famed Chop Shop studio on the east coast. Nelson is a Grammy winning guitarist/producer who was rock/blues legend Johnny Winter’s guitarist\, and who also appears as guest guitarist on two tracks on Everybody Wants A Piece. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nA true powerhouse guitar virtuoso\, unique singer and prolific songwriter\, he has toured extensively throughout his career\, performed at the world’s most renowned music festivals\, and earned a legion of dedicated fans.  Walker’s 1986 debut album Cold Is the Night on HighTone announced his arrival in stunning fashion\, and his subsequent output has only served to further establish Walker as one of the leading bluesmen on the scene. \nBorn on December 25\, 1949 in San Francisco\, at age 14\, he took up the guitar. Just two years later\, he was a known quantity on the Bay Area music scene\, playing blues with an occasional foray into psychedelic rock. For a while\, he roomed with Mike Bloomfield\, who introduced him to Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead. Walker even made a brief pilgrimage to Chicago to check out the blues scene there.  In 1975\, burned out on blues\, Walker turned to God\, singing for the next decade with a gospel group\, the Spiritual Corinthians. When the Corinthians played the 1985 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival\, Walker was inspired to embrace his blues roots again. He assembled the Boss Talkers\, and throughout the 1990s merged many of his gospel\, jazz\, soul\, funk and rock influences with his trademark blues sensibilities on recordings released by Polydor/Polygram. These albums feature Walker’s collaborations with a diverse group of first-rate artists including Branford Marsalis\, James Cotton\, Tower of Power\, Bonnie Raitt\, Buddy Guy\, Taj Mahal\, Ike Turner and Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown.  Walker has steadily released recordings since the turn of the millennium\, and recently signed to Provogue / Mascot Label Group. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNPR Music has called Walker “a legendary boundary-pushing icon of modern blues\,” and he is already being referred to within the blues world as a living legend. However\, at this stage of his life\, Walker profoundly shares\, “I’d really like to inspire younger musicians to carry on the legacy of blues/roots music. But play\, and do it your way. Don’t be afraid to mix it up. There’s no right\, or wrong way. Just the way you wanna express yourself.  And above all\, ENJOY YOURSELF.”

Noted for Funky Meters guitarist Brian Stoltz’s numerous recording projects. The Cd charted at # 10 on the Living Blues Charts and was frequently played on XMs Bluesville. \nTheir live performances are family oriented\, energetic and most of all fun. Chris has appeared on stage with: Legendary Rolling Stones sideman Bobby Keys\, The Fabulous Thunderbirds\, Jimmy Vivino\, Jeff Healy\, Dan Akroyd\, Albert Lee\, Dave Edmunds\, Dave Maxwell and the great James Cotton to name just a few. Chris has also recorded with Bill Perry and Hubert Sumlin\, among others. \nThe Chris O’Leary Band’s debut CD “Mr. Used to Be” won the 2011 Best New Artist Debut CD Blues Blast Award and was nominated for best new artist debut at the 2011 American Blues Music Awards.

Soars was also nominated for “Blues Rock Artist of the Year” in the 40th annual Blues Music Awards\, alongside blues music heavyweights Billy Gibbons\, Eric Gales\, Kenny Wayne Shepherd\, and Tinsley Ellis\, rounding out the Blues Rock category. \nIn the decade since he burst upon the national scene by winning 1st place in the Blues Foundation’s 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis\, TN with his band the Red Hots (and the prestigious Albert King Award as best guitarist)\, Arkansas native J.P. Soars has toured extensively through the United States\, Canada\, South America and Europe\, and released an impressive catalog of powerful music. In addition to his work with his own Red Hots\, Soars has been part of the regional all-star blues act Southern Hospitality\, also featuring Tampa vocalist/guitarist Damon Fowler and 2019 Grammy nominee\, Memphis vocalist/keyboardist Victor Wainwright\, plus Red Hots drummer Chris Peet and Wainwright’s bassist Terrance Grayson. The Band’s 2013 Blind Pig release\, “Easy Livin’” earned a Blues Blast Award for “Best New Artist Debut Release”\, and they toured worldwide in-between the three bandleaders’ own schedules. \nSoars was featured on an album by Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers\, and has released five albums on his own and with the Red Hots\, most recently the critically acclaimed SOUTHBOUND I-95. Soars is much more than just a gun-slinger.” \nJ.P. is psyched about his upcoming release\, recorded during a whirlwind weeklong session at Tab Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou studios\, with a band featuring Red Hot’s drummer Chris Peet on bass\, and Benoit on drums\, they recorded twelve songs in five days – eight originals which they wrote on the spot\, plus four choice covers. The inspiration for the album came from the many nights they all spent jamming into the wee hours on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise and at the Big Blues Bender\, and as expected\, they captured many magical musical moments on this record. \nJP Soars\nSoars got bitten by the blues bug via a legendary source in 1988\, when he won a guitar and two tickets in a raffle to see B.B. King in concert. Meeting the iconic guitarist and singer further enhanced the young musician’s quest to learn more about the timeless power of the music. Soars started his blues recording career a decade ago with the 2008 release Back of My Mind\, followed by More Bees With Honey (2011) and Full Moon Night in Memphis (2014). He is drawn to exotic sounds and a variety of musical influences including Jazz\, Latin\, Reggae\, African\, Indian and Gospel. His main instruments are the electric and upright bass but dabbles with the sitar\, an Indian stringed instrument. \nJazz is near and dear to him because it allows him alot of freedom and expression. His Jazz influences includes the Pianist Chick Corea\, Bassist Michael Pipoqinha\, Bassist Richard Bona\, Weather Report\, Sitarist Mita Nag and many more. \nHe has performed in various venues\, including churches\, hotels\, and cruise ships along with touring doing festivals throughout the United States and abroad.

DESCRIPTION:Mark Stuart has been a fixture on the Americana/Folk music scene for many years. Non-stop touring landed the artist in theaters\, clubs\, radio\, TV\, house concerts\, festivals\, and coffeehouses. Much of this was solo\, much of it in a duo “Stacey Earle & Mark Stuart”. A fine singer\, musician\, and songwriter he is. In his performances expect stellar guitar work\, soulful vocals\, and thought-provoking PARTY songs. Interesting stories find their way into his show\, too. A career that has repeatedly taken Stuart to Europe\, UK\, Canada\, and 49 of the United States includes having begun in his native Nashville as a teenage working musician. From membership in the Nashville Rebels (his father’s band that appeared in the Waylon Jennings movie “The Nashville Rebel”) to sideman stints for Steve Earle\, Freddy Fender\, Joan Baez\, and Steve Forbert he has NEVER STOPPED WORKING as an active musical force. In previous years the artist fronted rock/blues bands of his own that included notable guitarists Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule\, Allman Brothers Band) and Dave Rawlings (Gillian Welch\, Dave Rawlings Machine) serving HIM as second guitarist! Mark Stuart is touring as heavily as ever. Audiences will find his usual material from solo CDs and Stacey Earle/Mark Stuart CDs.
