DESCRIPTION:*In 1995 Portland Maine’s Jason Ricci began his international music career by moving to Memphis to study with former Johnny Winter sideman Pat Ramsey. That same year Ricci won the Sonny Boy Blues Society contest and played the King Biscuit festival at 20 years old. Since then Ricci has won dozens of blues and harmonica contests\, toured the world and amassed an impressive collection of awards\, honors and accolades. In 2010 Ricci’s album “Done With The Devil” (Delta Groove) was nominated for a BMA Award. In 2010 Jason won the BMA Award for “Best Harmonica Player” beating his childhood heroes: Kim Wilson\, Billy Branch\, Mark Hummel and Rick Estrin. In 2014 Ricci was a featured artist on Johnny Winter’s Grammy Award winning album “Step Back”produced by Paul Nelson appearing along side names like Eric Clapton\, Dr. John\, Brian Setzer\, Billy Gibbons\, Leslie West and more. In 2015 Ricci was invited by Paul Shaffer to play on the HBO televised Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Paul Butterfield. At The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame\, Ricci performed in front of 10\,000 people and millions of HBO viewers with Zac Brown ( Multi-Platinum Singer Songwriter) and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello with the Paul Shaffer band. \n*Jason Ricci is well known for having one of the most exciting\, energetic and unpredictable live shows on the circuit. His live performances are sweaty\, sexual\, intense and creative events. Ricci has been actively touring the Blues circuit in the USA and Europe for over twenty years. In 2005 The Mercury News listed Jason Ricci’s show in a “Top Ten Best Shows” of 2005 list alongside acts such as Springsteen\, Rush\, Prince and Green Day for best concerts of the year. Jason’s shows feature a variety of music from Blues\, Punk\, Jazz\, R&B\, and Fusion. Their musical endeavors have taken them throughout northern Ohio play dates at numerous venues including Nighttown\, Brother’s Lounge\, Barnegie Hall\, as well as a number of wine bars\, festivals and benefits.  \nA Little About Amanda and Rick………………. \nSongwriters Amanda Walsh and Rick Szekelyi have been writing and performing together since 2015.  Their songs\, written individually and together\, examine topics such as conversations with whales and deer\, ideals of love that fall far short of reality\, distant islands of palms and pearls\, the cycle of life\, the laments of an old house\, the reality of magic\, and advice on the right way to end a relationship.  Their first album\, Troubadour\,was released in 2017. They are currently working on the second album to be released later this year. \nAmanda Walsh\, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music\, has been playing music since she was seven years old. Amanda combines her passion for songwriting\, fiction and poetry with her love of unpredictable chord changes and dreamy piano passages. Her influences include Claude Debussy\, Paul Simon\, Joni Mitchell\, Anne Sexton and Nina Simone. Amanda released her solo album\, Magic is Real\, last year. \nRick Szekelyi has been playing guitar since he was eight years old. After six decades\, he decided to get serious about songwriting. Influenced by Kris Kristofferson\, Townes Van Zandt\,  Ernest Hemingway\, Guy Clark and Steve Earle\, his writing captures sounds from days gone by\, ethnic flavorings and other cultural sounds. To encourage others to pursue songwriting\, during the last five years Rick has hosted numerous songwriter circles\, open mics and has\, with Amanda\, facilitated songwriting workshops.

DESCRIPTION:email me at \nwilberts812@sbcglobal.net \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nERIC SOMMER·\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSinger/songwriter Eric Sommer is an unbelievable intersection of improbable influences and experiences channeled into an amazingly diverse catalog and a résumé that reads more like a musical adventure novel than a series of career bullet points.\nSommer emerged from the Boston music scene in the ’80s with a vengeance\, a Folk guitarist with a percussive\, open-tuning style adapted from the likes of David Bromberg\, Steve Howe\, Townes Van Zandt and Brit Folk legend Davy Graham. But Boston was also a hotbed of New Wave\, Power Pop and Punk at that point\, and Sommer absorbed those influences as well\, creating a Byrdsian jangle sound that earned him opening slots for national touring acts and regular bookings at the renowned Paradise Theatre.\nSommer eventually relocated to Europe where he scored tours with Bram Tchaikovsky\, Wreckless Eric and Nick Lowe\, calling Denmark and the Netherlands home for awhile. After honing his personal songwriting style and playing every conceivable club on the European circuit\, Sommer returned to Boston homeless and broke.\nLiving on the streets and in abandoned squats\, Sommer played every available open mic and picked up guitar tips from David Landau and Gary Burton/Steve Howe sideman Mick Goodrick\, which led to the formation of a trio called The Atomics\, which offered up an American version of Elvis Costello\, Joe Jackson and Nick Lowe during its run. While The Atomics opened for the Dead Kennedys and Gang of Four and became one of Boston’s best local New Wave outfits\, Sommer was finding constant inspiration in the works of Jeff Beck\, Pat Martino\, Joe Pass and Charlie Christian.\nWith The Atomics’ dissolution\, Sommer’s wanderlust took him to New York\, Atlanta and finally the suburbs of Washington\, D.C.\, where he founded the Georgetown Film Festival and embarked on a phase of independent film scoring. Since then\, Sommer has been a troubadour with no fixed address\, playing well over 250 gigs a year and slowing down just long enough to record a handful of brilliant albums\, including Rainy Day Karma with his band\, Solar Flares\, and his latest solo effort\, Brooklyn Bolero.\nIf there’s any lingering doubt about Sommer’s supernatural versatility\, consider that he’s opened for Old 97’s\, Nickel Creek’s Sara Watkins\, Bluegrass icon Jerry Douglas\, Mates of State\, Dr. John\, Leon Redbone and Built to Spill\, to name a few – and Dead Kennedy’s\, Mission to Burma\, Gang of Four\, and Elvis Costello\, Wreckless Eric and Brahm Tchaikovsky…\nWhether in band or one-man form (which nakedly showcases his amazing acoustic Blues guitar stylings)\, Sommer is a living history of contemporary music and a musical force of nature.
